Kyle McKay is a certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor and currently manages the financial records for over 35 different companies. Blending his knowledge of financial recording-keeping and his insight into the music industry, The Musicians’s Bookkeeper was launched as an affordable bookkeeping and tax-preparation solution for the musician. McKay's new business venture was a winner at both the Westheimer New Venture Competition & the University of North Texas Music Entrepreneurship Competition.

As an orchestral musician, McKay has performed with the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes, Colgate Symphony, Cortland Repertoire Theater, and the North Shore Philharmonic. A native of Southern Maine, McKay has performed in New York City's Alice Tully Hall and at numerous music conventions in New York, and soon Texas. Currently residing in Denton, Texas, he regularly performs and records with the North Texas Wind Symphony under the direction of Eugene Migliaro Corporon.
Kyle McKay has been assistant director at the Mansfield University Summer Clarinet Camp (Mansfield, PA) since 2015— where he gives daily master classes, private lessons, and conducts the clarinet choir. In the summer of 2014, Mr. McKay assisted in giving a presentation on reed making and adjustment with Richard MacDowell and Brian Hermanson at the International Clarinet Association conference in Baton Rouge, LA.
Kyle McKay is currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Accounting from Harvard University concurrently with his graduate studies at the University of North Texas. His primary teachers have been Richard MacDowell and Kimberly Cole Luevano and Gregory Raden with additional instruction from Larry Guy and Richard Faria. He received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the Ithaca College School of Music.
